The first step of trauma healing is always rest, and yet our busy brains (and the endless demands upon us) prevent us from doing what we know is best for us. This is where Yoga Nidra AKA Yogic Rest comes in, to give you an 8, 15 or 30 minute soothing body-scan meditation to send your system into a rest state that is deeper than you've probably experienced. Fifteen minutes of Yoga Nidra is known to be equivalent to 1 hour of deep rest, this ancient hack needs to be in every parent's toolkit!
